LIVING WITH THE ISSUES
My home has been in the centre of Williton for 18 years. I am very much aware of the problems faced by shoppers, workers, the business community and young and retired people as we all try to “rub along” together. Our young people have few facilities yet they are often criticised for the minority of them that cause problems. We are all watching the developments at Hinkley Point and wonder what benefits as well as problems it will bring.
Means I do not belong to a political party. My ideas are my own. In forming them I will listen to anyone who talks sense. I will vote according to my conscience with no allegiances to parties.
LISTENING, LEARNING AND REPRESENTING
If elected I will always be approachable and listen to any issues you wish to raise. I cannot solve all problems but understanding them is a start. If it is within the powers of a district councillor to make a change then I will try to see it happens. Please remember I have to get the support of other councillors and that requires some give and take.
If you wish to contact me you can do so here . There is also a dedicated phone line 639649 to contact me or leave a message. Failing that you can write to me at 28 Robert Street.
THANKS TO EDDY MAY
Outgoing councillor, Eddy May, has represented Williton for 22 years. In that time he has worked tirelessly for Williton. His dedication and experience was recognised by all West Somerset councillors when he was elected to be chairman of the District Council three times, a unique achievement in the Council’s 41 year history. We all owe Eddy a big thank you for all he has done. He will be a difficult act to follow, but I’ll do my best.
COMMENT FROM EDDY MAY
I have known Ian for many years. He has served Williton as a parish councillor and has been a district councillor for West Somerset. His experience and track record makes him a candidate I endorse to carry on the work of representing Williton.
